The mud bog ran until 5:00 am at Jackson County Fair in Cottageville, West Virginia on July 30-31, 2010. The pit was deep and there were hundreds of runs. This video short from the event features the song “Hoax Pocus” by Tow Truck, which is the first band we have used from the Netherlands. They play with our local boys Karma To Burn on Halloween at Rotterdam, Zuid-Holla, Netherlands so this is a video to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.

An increasingly popular sport throughout the United States and Canada is Mudding. Known also as mud racing and mud bogging, mudding is an off-road sport where vehicles are driven through mud pits. The winner is determined by who can go the furthest in the pit. The increase in popularity of this sport is apparent by the number of mudding videos being made and sold.

Generally, because of the extreme conditions in which these vehicles compete, they are usually four wheel drive vehicles. While the winner is chosen by who makes it through the pit the furthest, if numerous racers finish the course then the winner is judged by the best time.

Vehicles used in mud bogging are a dragster style rail design and are a class V or VI mud racer. The only difference in class V & VI vehicles is their tires. The class V tire is a street legal tire that is modified by cutting out chunks for traction. In the Class VI, the tire has a paddle, similar to sand tires.

The engines of the mud boggers are supercharged, sometimes with nitrous oxide to give them a big kick in hopes of pushing through the treacherous mud. In the beginning, mudding vehicles were typically modified pick up trucks or SUV’s with lifted suspensions and special tires. By the late 1980′s things began to change and more rigid sanctions on the vehicles were implemented.

The best thing about mudding videos is the up-close action without the mess. You can watch all the mud slinging races from the comfort of your home. Since tracks come in all shapes and sizes, there is always a wide variety of exciting races. From a short, one hundred fifty feet track to a much larger three hundred foot track, not only does the length of the track vary, there are also holes, hills, pits tracks and open bogs, all for your viewing pleasure.

Various racing vehicles are made for different runs, each one having a specific type that best suits it. For instance, hills and holes are best raced with four to six cylinder street stocks. In bigger classes they use bigger tires as a general rule. When watching the mudding videos, you will learn all the differences in cars, tracks and racers as well.

Mudding became a sanction of the National Mud Racing Organization, or NMRO. But in 2008, a new group emerged who’s goal was to make the sport more legitimate and more unified. It became like many car races, a points race. In the end, there was one winner and one big prize. However, there are still many out there who enjoy the raw style that mud racing once had. Watching these mudding videos shows this excitement and raw talent of mud racing.

Mud bogging is becoming the past time of rural America. There are man mudding videos being produced to document this very popular sport. If you prefer organized events or just spending the day down at the mud bogg.Mudding videos offers all types of vehicles.
