Hillbilly Proud returned to the Calhoun County Wood Festival on June 5, 2010 for the first time since 2007. Grantsville hosts a great event with three mud pits for the WVMRA (West Virginia Mud Racing Associtation) competition. We love the three pit set up. Racers all had a pit they could enjoy with a speed pit, 18″ pit, and deep pit in action. Thanks to all those in Calhoun County for the hospitality.

Got my first race in with the new motor, I got 1st in my class and set a new record for fastest run at 4.72 seconds!! Truck ran good, can’t wait for my next race!!

Compelation of some runs from this summer. Hit 5 races, getting 1st place at 4 of them, not a bad year at all. Other then a busted steering column there was no major carnage this year.

These were my favorite three mud trucks of the day.
1. Cocky (the yellow Chevy) was indeed cocky driving with one hand out the window, but he was very FAST!
2. The Ford Bronco was not fancy, just fast and always seemed to be catching air.
3. The Suburban had the windshield water squirter for the mud. AND its a Suburban, which is always cool.
