I just got a 1998 … I just got a 1998 Pathfinder, I’m ready to fix it up (it’s the 170HP 3.3L SOHC so it’s a little gutless compared to my buddy’s 3.5L 250HP DOHC), I’m gonna get her a M62 super and get her torque way up there.

I got an 88 … I got an 88 pathfinder and that thing just doesnt get stuck. i havent needed to put chains on it yet, it just a great car. never replaced the clutch once in the 20 some years ive had it!
I previously owned … I previously owned a 92 Pathy 4×4. great driving truck hated to part with it but it needed some TLC. I wanted to do a straight axle conversion to it but to much other work was needed
I have a 94 and … I have a 94 and quite frankly thats what I bought because I like that body style. The generation after that, imo, looks like a sissy mary mobile and you dont even want to know what I think about the newest models. But oh well. I like mine, even though its pretty unreliable since Ive had it. I love these videos.
I would say the old … I would say the old WD21 ‘finders are just as good or better then the new Xterras (all years) in off road situations, but that is just my experience. I have a ’95 ‘finder and that thing has taken me everywhere…but very slowly. The 3L is a pos. I do plan on putting ’05 and up 4L in soon though, that should take care of the power problems.
I need to know I … I need to know I just get one 1990 (the first model with 4 doors in the sides )4X4 in order to do off road like that, I need to do something on the suspension (imrpove or change)or the suspension as it is can be used for off roading? thanks

Second generation …
Second generation pathfinders are unibody construction rather than body-on-frame. You cannot body lift them.
