My uncle is a heavy …
My uncle is a heavy equipment mechanic and he says that the work trucks are everything. They have an old Cummins, a new one, a Duramax, a few 7.3s and a 6.0.
According to him, the 6.0 is always broke.
Followed by the Duramax, then both Cummins and the 7.3 NEVER has any problems. Just oil change, plug change, brakes, the usual…
I have always been a Ford person. It’s in my blook. My whole family drives Ford or Toyota.

Ford had no choice …
Ford had no choice or they’d keep the 7.3. EPA tole them they didn’t meat emissions standards and had to make a smaller motor. Hence, the 6.4-which only lasted 2 or 3 years before EPA told them the same thing. Now, 6.0 piece of trash. There are more 7.3 Powerstrokes on the road in North America than all the Cummins, Duramax, and other Powerstrokes put toghether.

@onei420 that is because the new powerstrokes are the 6.0 and they suck… ford made a terrible mistake getting rid of the 7.3… hopefully the 6.7 is better than the 6.0

ford powestrokes …
ford powestrokes are crap a good buddy of mine has them come through his shop all the time due to blown turbos and head gaskets and these are brand new!
Dodge cummins is a very good motor maybe the best but the trucks not so much if you get a manual tranny then you got a bad truck.
The Duramax is a great motor paired with a strong tranny can’t go wrong. I have a Dmax and love it. All my friends roll in Dmax’s or Cummins by far the two top dogs.
