not yahoo, its … not yahoo, its called a mechanical engineering degree. you can learn a few things from reading my statement rather than just thinking you know everything. motors and engines are my specialty. its a simple concept i was stating. wihtout increasing hp at that rpm, increasing crank tq is 100% pointless. Apparently you think moving a car faster (i.e. kinetic energy) is possible without increasing power. which defies all laws of physics, but what do i know…. have fun being retarded;..
hp is how much tq … hp is how much tq you have at a vertain rpm…. lowering hp but increasing crank tq is not at all affective. hp is the amount of energy avaliable. more energy = more tq. rpm is like a distance. is 10lbs@2ft more tq than 35lbs@1foot? just becuase the initial force is higher doesnt mean its always better. its force times distance for tq. and hp is the same thing but a rpm factor. hp will always win. setzep7 is right. aim for hp and problems fix themselves

I’m going to have … I’m going to have to disagree with you on this one. HP is more important than TQ. With a big enough stall and a high HP engine you’ll walk around the guys with more TQ and less HP.
A 350 is more than … A 350 is more than big enough to turn them tires and horsepower isn’t the most important thing it’s torque. If you have a lot of horsepower and hardly any torque you ain’t goin thru any kind of mud
As an owner of a … As an owner of a 375hp 455 olds in a firebird, 520 hp 440 in a cuda, stock 12 valve cummins, several rat moters worth of parts not together yet, I have the utmost respect for 350s, and even more after seeing this. Glad I’ve got 5 running 350s and at least 5 more cores!!
