In a typical display of British eccentricity, thousands of people made their way to Maldon on the East coast of England on New Years Eve for the town’s annual mud race – a cross between a fun run and an assault course from hell. One hundred and eighty runners braved the elements to stampede across the Blackwater River waist deep in thick black mud.The date of the annual race is dependent on tidal conditions. The idea is simple – the competitors line up on the river bed at low tide and race 400 metres toward Maldon town, ploughing through the icy water as they go. mud run in Bailey, Michigan on Saturday, September 29th, 2007. first run of the year for the s10. blew the pit the first 3 times then on the 4th the driveshaft bottomed out braking the transfer case and the last 6 in of the tranny housing and shaft.

Compelation of some runs from this summer. Hit 5 races, getting 1st place at 4 of them, not a bad year at all. Other then a busted steering column there was no major carnage this year.

We can only afford to race if the truck pays for itself in the long run and at the end can also donate remaining parts to other projects. This $250 truck sat for years, but we got it running and mud raced it, won 2 trophies, then parted it out and counting all the mud racing fees and gas still came out $30 ahead and kept the SB400 motor and 3/4 ton 4.10 axles for free.
